Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between a left and a right hammer spring and how do I know which one I need?
If your top barrel isn’t firing you need a left spring. If your lower barrel isn’t firing you need a right spring.
How do I know your springs will fit my model of shotgun?
In our extensive experience, our Miroku hammer and top lever springs will fit ANY model of Miroku or Charles Daly Miroku shotgun that uses leaf springs, regardless of gauge. This is because Miroku kept these parts standardised across their product range.
In basic terms, Miroku springs are common to all leaf-sprung U/O models of Miroku and Charles Daly Miroku shotguns, regardless of gauge and even if they have different part numbers.
What if a spring doesn't fit?
If you ordered the correct spring but it doesn’t fit we will work with you to check you’ve fitted it correctly. If it still doesn’t fit we will assess whether to send a replacement or offer another option.
What if I ordered the wrong spring?
If you ordered the wrong spring we may be able to exchange it but handling and shipping charges will apply. Please contact us.
How do I know your springs are good quality?
Our springs are designed by a Master Gunsmith and made from 1055 high carbon spring steel, heat treated to 45.8 Rockwell C using computer-controlled heat treating equipment. They are then polished and the edges are radiused to help prevent transverse breakage.
We have been making Miroku springs since 2019 and selling them worldwide without a reported breakage.
To back this up, we offer a five-year warrantee provided a spring has been fitted and handled correctly, and the gun has been stored uncocked.
Why should I pay for a Status Guns Miroku Spring?
Our springs are designed and manufactured to the highest standards in New Zealand, using state-of-the-art technology. Computer-controlled batch production combined with hand-finishing ensures a crafted, high-quality part which will serve you and your Miroku reliably for many years to come.
What if a spring breaks?
We offer a five-year warrantee on any of our springs and will replace a spring once you return it, provided it has been fitted and handled correctly, and the gun has been stored uncocked.
How long will my spring take to arrive?
As we’re based in New Zealand, delivery times are somewhere between 3 and 25 working days depending on where you are in the world, the shipping option you choose and any border delays.
If you need a spring by a specific date we strongly recommend using our DHL delivery option as the higher pricing includes expedited border clearance which can significantly speed delivery time.
Where do you ship to?
We ship everywhere.
Do you offer any discounts?
We offer a 20% discount for purchase of five or more springs.
